The Zhejiang University/University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (the ZJU-UIUC Institute)
The Zhejiang University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (ZJU-UIUC) Institute is a new engineering college on the new Zhejiang University (ZJU) International Campus in Haining, China, about 120 km southwest of Shanghai. The ZJU-UIUC Institute conducts teaching and research in broad program themes of engineering and system sciences; information and data sciences; and energy, environment, and infrastructure sciences. The Institute offers Undergraduate and graduate degrees in the following disciplines:
- Civil and environmental engineering
- Computer engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering
The Zhejiang University – University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute formed a partnership as an engineering college on the new Zhejiang University International Campus in Haining, China, about 120 km southwest of Shanghai. Beginning in Fall 2016 undergraduate students began studying computer engineering & electrical engineering at the Institute. Beginning in Fall 2017 civil engineering and mechanical engineering disciplines were added. Students studying at the Institute have the ability to earn a degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Disciplines include Electrical, Computer, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
